Atomo Diagnostics has today announced that Doris-Ann Williams MBE, has been appointed to join its Board of Directors.

Doris-Ann is Chief Executive of the British In Vitro Diagnostics Association (BIVDA) and has worked in the IVD sector for more than 30 years, initially in R&D and subsequently in commercial roles in the UK and internationally. In January 2011 Doris-Ann was awarded an MBE for services to the UK healthcare industry, and in November 2012 was recognised as a Friend of the Royal College of Pathologists.

Our company has been recognised for the contribution it is making to improving diagnostic performance and usability, and is growing fast. We are very excited to welcome her as a member of our Board,” said John Kelly, Founder and Group CEO of Atomo Diagnostics. “Her extensive experience of the global IVD industry will be extremely valuable as we move forward and continue to develop our business.”

Doris-Ann said “I am extremely pleased to have been elected to the Board of Directors of Atomo. My particular focus is increasing awareness of the value of in vitro diagnostics to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs for healthcare systems. Atomo has elegant technology designed for both near patient testing and self-testing, which has exciting possibilities for applications to improve clinical pathways in the developed world in addition to supporting healthcare in countries with less access to traditional healthcare.
